Backwater Vest Pack from Fishpond

Backwater Vest Pack from Fishpond

I have recently purchased a Backwater Vest Pack by Fishpond for fly fishing, and I am very happy with my choice. I usually carry an adequate amount of gear while on the river in addition to the normal fly fishing accessories; such as a gore-tex jacket, camera, lunch, water, maps, spare rod and reels etc. I have looked at many of the new packs on the market ...

and the Backwater Vest Pack is my favorite

Fishpond Backwater Vest Pack fp-bwvestpack

The Backwater was designed with the fly fisher in mind, but I also use it for hunting, and recommend it to anyone who ventures into the great outdoors. This pack is very comfortable and practical, whether you are carrying a light load for an easy day on the water, or heavy load for a more adventurous day on the water. Fishpond?s Backwater Vest Pack is loaded with features, but here are a few that help make it my number one choice

A chest pouch on each shoulder strap to hold fly fishing accessories and built in fold out fly boxes

Built in exterior rod tube holder for that spare rod

Interior pouch for hydration bladder (not included) and tube port

Exterior gear pockets made of see through mesh for easy location of contents

Shoulder straps with multiple adjustments for a custom fit

Hip belt for heavy loads

Full padding where ever the pack comes into contact with the body

Rugged heavy duty zippers and seams

Two main compartments, with compression straps and inside pockets

I especially like the dual pouches on the shoulder straps, which allow me to easily change flies and use accessories without taking the pack off. After using this pack, my fly fishing vest has been emptied, and is now hanging in the closet. I would strongly recommend the Backwater Vest Pack by Fishpond to anyone.
