Hello all. My son and my self are just starting out fishing for Bass and Pan fish with a fly rod. We ordered the poles from cabela's web site but the reals didnt come loaded with line. I am lost in this. Nothing like the Level winds or spin cast reals. Can someone help.
I have the backline and the floating line. Do I do it backwards. Put the fly line on first then the backing?
pls email me at mikelamb68@hotmail.com

Hi Mike,
I went through this with another member a while back. Here is the link to what I walked him through:

Tks for that informaiton.
I have some questions that is bothering me.
I have the backing and the fly line on my reel. I want to use Loop to Loop connection for the leader. But the fly Line doesnt have loop on it. How do you put a loop on the fly line. I bought this braded loop with heat shrink tube. But when I heated the tube it turned black and not sure if it will work. Is there another way to put a loop on the floating fly (yellow) line?
tks much for all the help.
