Baby Streamer - A Penich Pattern

Fly Tying Patterns Looking for an nice streamer pattern for Great Lakes Steelhead? Try using Joe's baby streamer.

Joe Penich ties up this awesome little streamer. I never got the name from Joe so I call it Joe's baby streamer. This pattern features a prominent lateral line and is suitable for any freshwater species as this is tied on a Diachi bronze hook. I will get the recipe from Joe and post it up here as soon as I do. In the meantime take a close look at the pattern. This style can be tied in a variety of colors and sizes. Joe hails from Ontario, CA and is a avid innovative tier who also guides for Grindstone Angling in Waterdown, Ontario.

Joe specializes in the pursuit of steelhead on the fly and can often be seen fishing the whirlpool hole at the Niagara River for monster steelhead.
